An announcement of great importance!
This school year, 2026-2027, will mark the 125th Anniversary of the Founding of Tennessee Delta at Vanderbilt University!
Your House Corporation has already started making plans for this once-in-a-lifetime occasion!
DATE: We are considering a weekend in April, 2027, so as not to conflict with all of the activities for the many class reunions at Homecoming.
THE GATHERING: We want to draw as many alums (and families) as we can to enjoy this celebration. What an opportunity to get together with pledge and chapter brothers you have not seen for how long!
THE ACTIVITIES: Primarily casual social events where the attendees can meet, reunite, swap stories (true or not) and just generally have an unmatched time re-connecting.
IDEAS for ACTIVITIES:
- Casual cocktail gatherings. Designed for interaction within classes and eras, as well as with all alums of all ages, and the undergrads.
- Casual meals.
- Fancy Banquet, with Chancellor Diermeier invited to speak.
- Tour of the Chapter House – After two major renovations in the last 16 years, many alums have not seen the redone building. This will be the chance to see it!
- Tour of the Vanderbilt Campus. (You will not believe how it has changed; no Towers; no freshman quad; no Branscomb. Wow, but what is there now!)
- Vandy Baseball Game, if the schedule permits.
- Tour of Nashville. And you won’t believe how it has changed! Music City is booming. Downtown and Broadway are outstanding. An enormous, truly national destination.
- Unveiling of the TENNESSEE DELTA DIGITAL MUSEUM, accessing 125 years of history!
These are just some ideas at this point.
