What made you want to join Phi Psi?
i wanted to join Phi Psi because of the community and people it provided. Vanderbilt is an amazing place with plenty of amazing fraternities, clubs, and organizations for students to join. I felt that the folks I knew in Phi Psi would create the most memorable college experience for me. I was thrilled that the fraternity understood my athletic commitments and supported me in those endeavors.
What has been your favorite Phi Psi memory so far?
My favorite Phi Psi memory so far was probably the Vanderbilt Football victory over Virginia Tech last year. There is always incredible excitement at the beginning of the year on campus, but spending that day with my friends was an amazing experience.
In my opinion, that was when the Vanderbilt football program really gained the momentum that has led them to establish themselves as a national powerhouse this year. Experiencing the ups and downs of that game in the stands with my Phi Psi brothers is a great moment to reflect on from my time at Vanderbilt.
How has being in Phi Psi shaped your college experience so far?
Being in Phi Psi has greatly impacted my college experience. I have made some of my best friends and have also gotten to know folks I might not have crossed paths with otherwise. Building those relationships with folks I might not have known is something I enjoy not only about Phi Psi but also about all organizations and clubs on campus.
What do you hope alumni know about the current chapter experience?
I hope that alumni know that while the current chapter experience is very new, we are creating a welcoming environment that can help new Vanderbilt students achieve and experience whatever they want during their time here. We have people from all different backgrounds, and it has been an incredibly inclusive environment for me. We are continuing to grow and expand, and we will continue to try to uphold the standard we have developed over the past few years.
Are there any goals you hope to accomplish before graduating?
I do not have any specific goals I hope to accomplish before graduating. I hope that the basketball team makes another NCAA tournament and finds some success in the big dance, but I will spend my final months in Nashville cherishing the relationships I have built during my time.
